Day 1
Welcome to Israel!

Welcome to Israel! Meet friends new and old join­ing you on the Buffalo Israel Experience. Kick off the trip with a joyous Shehecheyanu ceremony, meet your guides, and begin your adventure in Jerusalem before a celebra­tory welcome dinnerwith a special guest.

Day 2

Explore the Old City through an option of your choice: tour the Jewish Quarter, walk along rooftops for a birds-eye view of this multi-ethnic city, or discover new archeological finds in the City of David. Visit the bustling Machane Yehuda market as Israelis prepare for Shabbat. We will begin our Shabbat with a beautiful service at the Western Wall and a festive Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

Day 3

Shabbat opportunities abound! Options include: Shabbat services, Jerusalem walking/cycling tours, visit­ing Masada or the New Israel Museum, or, rest. Celebrate the start of the new week with the Jerusalem Night Spec­tacular sound and light show, or explore the Western Wall Tunnels, or spend a night on the town.

Day 4

Take your pick today. Options include: explore the region by bike or hike, dive deep into the Israeli entre­preneurship and technology sectors, learn about Israel’s security and geography, or depart on a wine/food excur­sion. Return to the hotel to reconnect with friends before dinner on your own and a free evening in Jerusalem.

Day 5

A day of memory and renewal: visit Yad Vashem as community and share in a group memorial service. Travel on the new high-speed train to the Western Galilee, Buffalo’s Partnership 2Gether region. Enjoy a special din­nerwith locals in a surprise venue.

Day 6

Continue meeting and learning about our Part­nership family though a series of small group programs in the region and lunch. Afternoon options include different tracks en-route to Tel Aviv. Free evening experiencing the rich night-life of Tel Aviv.

Day 7

Depart for the Western Negev and learn about security and resiliency along the Gaza border, grab some friends and head to the beach, or build your own itinerary today, it’s up to you! Meet Tel Avivians and dine at one of several popular night spots — followed by a free night in Tel Aviv, or choose from optional evening programs.

Day 8

Explore Tel Aviv, through its vast array of distinct neighborhoods, modern business culture, or by visiting one of its many world class museums. Enjoy final free time before we gather for reflection and a festive farewell dinner.

If you plan to arrange your own air travel, you will be responsible for meeting the group in Israel.

Payment in full for all participants is required by August 15th, 2018

FIRST 50: First 50 registrants receive a $500 discount on the total cost of the trip.

FIRST TIME IN ISRAEL: For those traveling to Israel for the very first time, receive $150 discount on the total cost of the trip.

REFER A FRIEND: If you encourage a friend to register, receive a $100 discount on the total cost of the trip.

Discounts may be combined. Discounts available only for those with primary residence in Buffalo.

The group will be staying in Dan Panorama hotels throughout the Buffalo Israel Experience.

The group will fly on EL AL departing from Toronto on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm, landing in Tel Aviv on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 8:15 am.

Bus transportation will be provided from Buffalo to the Toronto airport.

The group will fly on EL AL departing Tel Aviv on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00 am, landing at Newark airport on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7:15 am.

Bus transportation will be provided from the Newark airport back to Buffalo.
